COACHES AND MENTORS
PETER LEBOUTILLIER: Pete grew up in Manitoba, Canada and played Tier I Junior Hockey with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League where he captained the team in his 3rd season.
Peter was drafted by the New York Islanders in 1993 and the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in 1995. He went on to play 9 seasons of Professional Hockey in the NHL, AHL, and Europe.
MATT HERR: Matt Herr, born in Hackensack, New Jersey, and raised in Alpine, New Jersey and New Windsor, New York played for the Hotchkiss School prior to attending the University of Michigan, where he played ice hockey and baseball, eventually being drafted in both sports, by the Atlanta Braves (Major League Baseball) and Washington Capitals (National Hockey League).
After graduating from Michigan, Matt Herr played professional hockey from 1998 to 2005, including time with the Washington Capitals, Florida Panthers, and Boston Bruins.
JASON WOLFE: Jason is a Goaltending Coach, Owner of Wolfe Hockey Development. He played Division 1 College Hockey for Merrimack College in Hockey East. After completing college, he went on to play 9 seasons of professional hockey in both the States and England. It was during these years that he also established his own goaltending development business which he now owns and operates full time.
BOE LESLIE: Boe lives in Washington DC where he runs Northern Roots Hockey Development. He is co-producer of the documentary Rinks of Hope: Project Mongolia. He is a former Division 1 College and professional hockey player, who now works full time in youth hockey development world wide. He played NCAA Division 1 hockey for the Union College Skating Dutchmen of the ECAC, while earning an interdepartmental major in German and Economics. During his freshman year, Boe was rewarded for his scholastic achievement as having the highest GPA of all players on the Division 1 College team.
After his time at Union, Boe then advanced to play 8 years of professional hockey in Europe. The majority of his professional career was spent in Switzerland for clubs such as Lausanne Hockey Club and Hockey Club Chur. He also spent part of his career in England where he played for the Sheffield Steelers of the British Super League.
Boe is the author of the Leslie Global Sports Complete Season Manual and Small Area Games App which have been written based on Boe’s experiences in youth hockey in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.
CHRIS CERANSKY: Ceransky is the Team Maryland Hockey Director and Head Coach of the U18 team. Chris has coached three midget teams in two years and has seen plenty of success highlighted by a PVAHA Championship, two AYHL Championship games, an ECEL Championship game, three births to the Southeast District Championship, and one of his goaltenders (Dom Basse) committing to play Division I hockey.
Ceransky is also the Southeast Regional Scout for the Maryland Black Bears (NAHL) and Youngstown Phantoms (USHL).
Ceransky spent three years in the North American Hockey League as an Assistant Coach for the Wichita Falls Wildcats (Wichita Falls, TX) and then the Coulee Region Chill (La Crosse, WI). During this time, Ceransky established himself in the elite ranks of player development. In just three years, over 60 of his players have or will shortly make the jump to NCAA hockey, including all six of his goaltenders, and worked his way into the 100 win club. Ceransky has also trained six players selected to their respective National teams.
Mike Donnellan from Baltimore, MD is a former Prep, USPHL, Div 1 and Pro player. He played youth hockey in the Baltimore/DC metro area before attending Vermont Academy for high school. At Vermont Academy Mike played all four years at the varsity level. In his senior year he led his team to the New England Prep Championship as team captain and he was awarded All New England honors.
After Prep School Mike played two years of Junior A Hockey in the EJHL (now USPHL) for the Green Mountain Glades in Burlington, VT. In his second year Mike was named a League All Star. He committed to play Division I hockey for UMass-Amherst in the Hockey East Conference. At UMass, Mike played alongside several current NHL players including Pittsburg Penguins Left Wing, Conor Sheary, Philadelphia Flyers Defensemen, Justin Braun, Dallas Stars Defensemen Joel, Hanley, and Nashville Predators Defensemen, Matt Irwin to name a few.
Mike played professionally on six teams in multiple leagues including the East Coast Hockey League and Southern Professional Hockey League. In 2016 he was invited to the NHL’s Nashville Predators Training Camp, where he played against some of the top players in the world.
In 2017 Mike was hired as the Director of Player Development for the Howard Huskies of the CBHL and EJPHL. The Howard Huskies are a strong club of 500 players located right outside of Baltimore and Washington DC. After a successful year with the club he was offered a three year contract through 2021. Mike has quickly become a go-to coach for skill development in his region. He has a unique wealth of knowledge in nutrition, yoga and sport psychology in addition to all aspects of hockey training. His ability to develop player’s talent has made successful in advancing players to Prep School and Junior hockey.
